This building which has been the library for nearly 100 years holds so much historical value as does alot of the buildings in and around Bloomfield. There are some who like to tear down history and build new. I am not one of them. This community will never be able to compete with larger, more modern communities as far as new buildings for everything; but what we can do is hold onto what sets us apart. That is our heritage, our history, our traditions. This library is beautiful! All it needs is some minor uplifts to accomadate the needs of people and then not only do we have a library, but we have a library that holds intrinsic historical value that no one can take away. I remember walking in gym class and going on what I called field trips to simply walk accross the street to the library! Wow, what an even bigger field trip; to think now the kids can walk 4 or 5 blocks! I can't wait until my kids are old enough to relive the experiences that I once had.
